The Wolves traveled to Anderson Prep on Monday night to participate in APA’s Senior Night. On a hot, muggy September evening, the Wolves were simply outplayed in the last 20 minutes of the game. Despite out-shooting their opponents 25-13, taking 11 corner kicks to Anderson Prep’s 4, and having the initial lead, the Wolves could not seem to capitalize and fell to the Jets, giving up 5 goals in the second half to eventually lose 5-2. Some positives the Wolves took away from the game included Bouvier Bernard’s 12th career goal, putting him 1 goal away from taking the 4th place all-time goal scoring record at PCRHS. Also, junior Lydvine Adjahouisso scored her first career goal, running down a deflection on the left wing, turning the corner, heading straight for the keeper and putting the ball just over him as he dove – a beautiful effort! Finally, right outside midfielders Nefthali Castaneda and Jay’lon Jones adjusted beautifully to Anderson Prep’s formation and defended their side perfectly, shutting down that attacking option completely. The Wolves will be back in action tonight for their Senior Night at Kuntz Stadium @ 5pm versus the International School Gryphons.
