Last night, the PCR Wolves varsity soccer team fell to Seton Catholic 3-4. This was a great result for the Wolves and the best start to a season under Coach Leerkamp’s leadership. At half-time, the score was tied, with a PK goal by sophomore midfielder Luis Aguilar and a beautiful header goal by senior forward Gustavo Adame off a cross from captain Chris Valdez. In the second half, the Wolves went down 4-2 and were only able to come up with one response – a beautiful strike to the left post by Luis Aguilar after an attempted clearance of a corner kick. Goalkeeper Alexys Taylor had 2 saves on the evening and was integral in clearing the ball from outside the 18, and freshmen newcomers Aman Mohamed and Jackie Guerrero also made their presence known in their first high school competition. Overall, a great initial performance!
