Wolves soccer went to Morristown bringing 5 players new to the season and had a promising showing, especially during the second half. In the first half, the Wolves took an early lead, going up 2-0, but eventually injuries, equipment malfunction, and disorganization (to be expected among the half rookie squad) allowed Morristown to catch up. At halftime the game was all tied at 3-3. In the second half, the Wolves came out looking to correct previous mistakes and settle in to new positions and roles. With 17 minutes remaining, the Wolves were down 5-3. With time running out, junior Lydvine Adjahouisso went for a breakaway ball and was fouled in the box. Captain Brian Adame (who also had 1 assist on the night) put the PK in the back of the net and this effort urged the team on to a final tying goal from senior forward Bouvier Bernard to cap off his hat trick. Other notable players included goalkeeper Isaiah Kimp with 16 saves and senior Kareem Moran with a goal and two assists. Overall, it was a pleasing display of perseverance and effort that bodes well for the post-season effort. The Wolves will be back in action on Saturday at Traders Point at 11:00am.
